As she completed her college studies, she took a position as a full-time nanny caring for identical twin girls near her college campus. In May 1999, the Monday after she received her college degree, she began working as the full-time, full charge nanny for a set of newborn fraternal twin boys that she cared for until they relocated in December 2006. From there, Michelle went on to provide short term care and consulting services to several families, including two families with fraternal twin boys, and a family of four, that of course, had a set of twins.

Michelle is passionate about helping those less fortunate. She has traveled overseas with Bread of Compassion, a non-profit humanitarian organization to Africa, Peru and Italy where she worked in orphanages, helped the homeless and served as the coordinator for short-term medical and dental clinics.
